Value-added processed meat manufacturer Monogram Foods has completed the acquisition of Progressive Gourmet.
Based in Wilmington, Massachusetts, US, Progressive Gourmet is the manufacturer of frozen appetisers.
Monogram chairman and CEO Karl Schledwitz said: "We will merge our Progressive Gourmet purchase with Monogram's other frozen appetiser businesses based in Plover Wisconsin, creating a comprehensively staffed division of 800 talented team members.
"With our strong and talented management support team, we will continue to optimise our customer-centric business with food processing best practices while implementing advanced capabilities to lead in the delivery of delicious products."
Monogram Foods currently has eight manufacturing facilities in seven states, all of which have been acquired by the firm over the last ten years.
As a result of the acquisition of Progressive Gourmet, the company now has more than 2,600 employees.
Monogram Foods president Wes Jackson said: "We are already underway expanding the USDA, FDA and BRC certified facilities in Wilmington, Massachusetts, and we are immediately looking to add 100 to 150 team members.
"Additional facility expansions are planned throughout the rest of 2016 in order to meet the demand of a robust list of customers such as US Foods, Marriott, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Wegman's, Hannaford, and Kroger for our Monogram Gourmet Foods division."
After the acquisition, Monogram Foods has also enjoyed an increase in revenues from $8m in 2004 to more than $600m this year.
Monogram Foods focuses on manufacturing and marketing beef jerky, corn dogs, pre-cooked bacon, appetisers and other value-added meat products.
