UK-based Tyrrells has acquired German organic crisp manufacturer Aroma Snacks for an undisclosed amount.
Increasing its production facilities to five, this acquisition comes nine months after Tyrrells purchased Yarra Valley Snack Foods, an Australian organic snacks company.
The UK company bought Aroma Snacks as part of its strategic plan to become a leading snacks brand.
Aroma Snacks manufactures organic crisps from potatoes cultivated in the southern part of Germany, reported The Telegraph.
These crisps are sold under the brand name of Lisa's Hand-Cooked Chips.
Tyrrells CEO David Milner was quoted by Startups as saying: "We are now in an excellent position to ensure we continue to meet growing demand for Tyrrells in continental Europe."
Aroma Snacks managing director Jochen Krumm said: "I am delighted to be working with Tyrrells and look forward to realising our combined growth potential."
Sales of Tyrrells crisps increased 17% year-on-year last year, and the firm expects the value of its brand to reach £230m this year, reported Bakeryandsnacks.com.
It manufactures vegetable crisps, potato chips, organic crisps and snacks.
