Between January to May this year, the provincial Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has inspected a total of 18 batches of fruits, accounting for a total volume of 29 tons. 9 batches were identified as unqualified for export, an increase of 350% compared to the same period last year. These unqualified fruits weighed around 10 tons and are are around 22.000 USD. It is worth noting that these fruits are all originated from Thailand, including pineapple, jackfruit, guava, orange, durian, mango, papaya and mangosteen.
This week, over 300 kilos of Thai mangoes were destroyed by the Henan Province Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. These mangoes, imported from Thailand, were sent to Henan Province Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for inspection on May 24th. According to the laboratory test report from the Entry & Exit Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center on May 27th, the mango samples were infected with mold.
