Arca Continental Lindley, an authorized bottler for The Coca-Cola Company in Peru, managed to enter the Asian and European markets by exporting mango pulp to Taiwan and fresh mangoes to Belgium.
Max Alvarado, the company's international markets manager, said that they had exported three containers of mango pulp of the Kent variety to Taiwan after six months of continuous work to comply with their rigorous specifications and product testing.
The shipment is valued at US $77.188 and was acquired by Chia Meei Food Industrial Corp., a well-known fruit, vegetable and pulp processing company in the Asian market.
The manager said the company had an agricultural export business unit focused on exporting pulp. Thus, the company produces peach and mango pulp, both for the brands that are part of Coca-Cola's portfolio and for third parties.
This is not the only operation of the company, as it also exported a container of fresh mangoes to Belgium for Del Monte France SA, a company dedicated to the production and distribution of fresh fruit, vegetables and juices, with 51 offices worldwide, including in Japan, Thailand, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and USA.
"We plan to export five containers of fresh mangoes this year, which are valued at US $110.880. Next season (from November 2017 to February 2018) we plan to quadruple the initial volume, so as to increase our income of this diversification by 200% over 2016," said Max.
Thus, Arca Continental Lindley seeks to demonstrate its openness to new markets, expanding their businesses globally.
