Recently, German Foodwatch declared that they tested 20 different products in local market and found likely cancerogen “mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbon (MOAH)” in such three kinds of food including Kinder chocolate bars. On July 7th, Ferrero addressed a declaration on Kinder chocolate containing mineral oil, claiming that all the products sold in China have obtained relevant national Certificate of Inspection and Quarantine and complied with China national food safety standard; meanwhile, they will carry out the study together with all the partners in food supply chain and seek for the technical solutions, so as to reduce this ubiquitous substance to a minimum level and prevent them from transferring to other foods.
Accident with Four (4) People Killed in a Biological Fermentation Workshop of Zhongwei City, Ningxia

Report from Safety Supervision Bureau of Ningxia Autonomous Region: At 16:14 pm, July 11th, in a biological fermentation workshop of Ningxia Genwe Farming Science & Technology Co., Ltd located in Zhongwei City, Ningxia Autonomous Region, one worker fell in a faint in a tank when he was cleaning the feed fermentation tank; other three workers at site entered the tank and rescued him but also fell in a faint in succession; eventually, all these four workers died after they were sent to hospital. The reason of this accident is now under investigation.
Ministry of Agriculture Announced Top Ten Typical Cases of Violation of Law on Veterinary Medicine in 2015

On July 2nd, Department of Veterinary Services of Ministry of Agriculture announced the typical cases of violation of law on veterinary medicine in 2015, including manufacturing and distributing counterfeit and low-quality veterinary medicine, manufacturing veterinary medicine without licenses and using counterfeit veterinary medicine. Above cases include Beijing Tianchen Dairy Co., Ltd taking use of the counterfeit veterinary medicine, which was investigated by Animal Health Supervision and Administration of Shunyi District in Beijing and Beijing Liuma Waldo Breeding Pigs Co., Ltd. taking use of the counterfeit veterinary medicine, which was investigated by Agricultural Bureau of Fangshan District in Beijing.
State Food and Drug Administration Opened the Registration Application System for Formula Foods with Special Medical Purpose

To support the implementation of Administrative Measures for Registration of Formula Foods with Special Medical Purpose, the health-care foods appraisal center of State Food and Drug Administration will open the registration application system for formula foods with special medical purpose from July 1st, 2016. The applicant can make online declaration through visiting the column “Registration for Formula Foods with Special Medical Purpose” in the website of abovementioned appraisal center.
