SAC solicited opinions on 2 national standards including “Quality management system Requirements” (draft for approval)

Drafts for approval of 2 national standards “Quality management system Requirements” and “Quality management system Basics and terms” drafted by National Technical Committee on Quality Control and Quality Assurance of Standardization Administration of China (TC151) were completed. Opinions should be submitted before Aug.26, 2016.

CFDA printed and distributed general rules for examination of food production license

CFDA organized and formulated “General rules for examination of food production license” based on “Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China” and its implementation regulation, and “Measures for administration of food production license”, which should be implemented on Oct. 1, 2016.

What new requirements were proposed in the General rule for examination of food production license? What effects would be made for food producers? To solve these problems, CFDA issued questions and answers for the general rule.

CFDA and CNCA jointly printed and distributed conditions for qualification accreditation of food inspection institutions

In order to strengthen administration of food inspection institutions and standardize their qualification accreditation, CFDA and CNCA organized and formulated Conditions for qualification accreditation of food inspection institutions” based on provisions of Article 84 in “Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China” and indicated that it went into effect since the date of implementation. Prior references for qualification accreditation of food inspection institutions different from this text should be abandoned.
