In recent years, as the development of the Korean grape industry has prospered, grape has now become the principal fruit in Korea. Campbell grapes are big in size and sweet in taste. In August 2015, the China Quality Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the Korean Inspection Department confirmed the Practice of Plant Inspection and Quarantine. From then on, Korean grapes started to be exported as the primary fruit variety to China. As a high-end grape variety, Campbell grapes are very popular in the Korean and Hong Kong markets. Therefore the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Korea expects to promote them to the Shenzhen market.
On August 25th, "the Launching Ceremony for the Market Promotion of Korean Campbell Grapes in China" took place in Haijixing wholesale market in Pinghu district, Shenzhen city. This event is co-organised by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Korea, Shenzhen Yuanxing Fruits Co. Ltd, and Shenzhen Green Port Agricultural Development Co.Ltd.
A lot of industry representatives participated in this launch ceremony, including Mr. Li Shengxun, the Hongkong branch director from Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, Mr. An Nangen from Yongzhong Agriculture Association, Mr. Cui Yonghao, the minister of Korea Gyeonggi Agriculture Cooperative Federation, Mr. Lu Changying, deputy general manager of Yuanxing Fruits Co.Ltd., Mr. Zhang Guodong, the general manager of Shenzhen Agricultural Products Corporation, Mr.Hu Haojun, the deputy general manager of Logistic Park of Shenzhen Haijixing International Agricultural Products, and Mr. Wang Jing, the general manager of Shenzhen Green Port Agricultural Development Co. According to Mr. An Nangen from Yongzhong Agriculture Association, Korean Campbell grapes grow in Gyeonggi near the seaside, and their sugar level can be as high as 16% thanks to the solar differential heating effect and the organic compound cultivation. Moreover, Campbell grapes can be stored for longer than regular grapes.
Mr. Li Shengxun, the Hongkong branch director from the Korean Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, said that they can better introduce Campbell grapes to local consumers by cooperating with Shenzhen Green Port Agricultural Development Co. Ltd. As for the reason for selecting Guangdong market, it is because the average income level in Guangdong city is among the highest in China (which means more consumer power).
Mr. Lu Changying, the deputy manager of Yuanxing Fruits Co. Ltd, says that Campbell grapes have high market potentials in China thanks to their premium quality, and he expects more cooperation with the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Korea.
During the event, all these industry experts raised their "Campbell" glasses, and wished for a smooth launch for Korean Campbell grapes in the Chinese market. To further cooperate with its promotional plan in China, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Korea, Shenzhen Yuanxing Fruits Co. Ltd, and Shenzhen Green Port Agricultural Development Co. Ltd. will continue to expand their cooperation and bring more healthy fruit options to Shenzhen customers.
