"Edible fungi are our main product. They are nutritional, tasty, healthy and gaining
recognition. We grow fungi in Fujian, Shandong and Guangdong. In total we have 4 production sites that each cover 7 hectares of cultivated land. We also operate a factory which helps us to speed up processing if needed. As such we can control quality from start to finish and supply all year around," says Lucy of Fujian Ningde Yongjia Trade.
Rising production costs
"We have a large variety of edible fungi for sale - golden mushrooms, shiitake, king oyster... We have conducted a survey that shows that exports to Europe are stable. However, as production costs rise slightly every year, prices are also increasing. We also export fresh vegetables that we cultivate in Guangdong. Our main products are radish and lotus root."
Aiming for the European market
"The company was founded in 1996 in Shenzhen. Every year we export some 50 containers to Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries. As the popularity of edible fungi has grown, market competition has become more fierce. But we are very experienced in export, have a stable supply, longstanding cooperation with customers and high quality produce. We believe that the prospects for our products in Europe are looking very positive."
