Kraft Heinz is recalling about 959 pounds of ready-to-eat “Lunchables Ham and American Cracker Stackers” packaged lunch products because they contain wheat and soy, two of the major food allergens, that are not declared on the label. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been received to date. A consumer complaint prompted the recall.
The recalled product is 3.4 ounce boxes containing four compartment plastic trays of “Lunchables Ham and American Cracker Stackers.” The use by date is 25 DEC 2016. Production times range from 9:13 to 10:00 stamped on the side of the plastic container. The product was made on September 21, 2016. The recalled product has the establishment number “EST. 537K” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in California and Utah.
Apparently, the “Lunchables Ham and American Cracker Stackers” products were incorrectly labeled with the back label for a “Nacho Lunchables” product. Since the back label has the ingredient list, the Ham and American Cracker product does not declare wheat and soy.
If you purchased this product and are allergic to wheat and/or soy or have celiac disease, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.
