SHRI SHIVA Foods of New York is recalling MTR Sambar Powder because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The product, MTR Sambar Powder, was sold in 200 gram packages, with Lot Number 15J27C, MFD.27.10.15. It was sold between January 2016 and October 2016 through one wholesaler in New York and one wholesaler in Ohio. The FDA discovered the potential contamination through product sampling.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged container, or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
