A few days ago, Chinese Portunid Trading Center finally found its home in Zhoushan China International Aquatic City, which was largest state-level aquatic product wholesaling center. Portunid Trading Center being set here would fully make use of the transaction and distribution function of the City.
Zhoushan was near to the main production region of the East China Sea portunid, enjoying outstanding geographical advantage. At present, there were 160 exclusive portunid stores, more than 3, 000 residing businessmen and 4, 000 peddlers in the City, which has formed a stable selling chain here and become the main collecting and distribution center in the whole nation.
A single portunid became the driving force in the industry and activated local market economy. In 2015, aquatic product business volume in Zhoushan China International Aquatic City reached 668, 000 tonnes with 10 billion yuan turnover, while annual trading volume of portunid was up to 300, 000 tonnes and its business transactions turnover was more than 4.5 billion yuan, both almost 45% of the total trading volume and turnover.
To make it convenient for linkage of producing and selling, the City was devoted to set up platform to improve popularity of Zhoushan portunid and exert brand advantage. In this year’s China Portunid Crab Producing and Selling Exchange Meeting held in late September, businessmen from famous market around the country came here and together discussed the circulation of Zhoushan portunid crab.
At present, market share of Zhoushan portunid alongside coastal regions in China has reached 60%. In the near future, the City would build sales and distribution ally in non-coastal cities, like Wuhan, Changsha, Zhengzhou and so on to send the crab to the whole nation’s dining table.
