More than 67 tonnes of fruit and vegetables from China were refused entry in the Russian province of Primorye. The reason: the gross violations of the phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union, as reported by the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor in the Primorsky Territory and the Sakhalin region.
Experts inspected three batches of fruits and vegetables, as a result of which it became clear that the certificates provided with the products were invalid. The product names in the certificate (aubergines, sweet and hot peppers, courgettes, tomatoes, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower, mandarins, kakis and others) did not match those specified in the shipping documents. The vehicle with the goods in quarantine was sent back to China, as reported by "Interfax".
