State Council printed and distributed “13th five-year plan on national food safety”
The State Council printed and distributed “13th five-year plan on national food safety” and proposed that there shall have obvious improvement in food safety management ability, food safety level, food industry development level and satisfaction of the masses by 2020.
The “Plan” requires that by 2020 the food safety sampling inspection shall cover all food categories and varieties. The food inspection volume arranged and planned by state uniformly and organized and implemented by relevant departments in different regions reaches 4 per thousand people in every year. Food safety on-site inspection shall be strengthened comprehensively, professional inspection team shall be basically completed. Food safety standards shall be more perfected, food safety supervision and technical support ability has been significantly improved, more than 300 national food safety standards shall be formulated and revised and 6600 indicators of pesticide residue limit and 270 indicators of veterinary drug residue limit shall be formulated, revised, assessed and transformed. Food safety inspection and detection ability at all levels shall meet national construction standards, imported and exported food inspection and detection ability shall meet international standards.
The China Food and Drug Administration printed and distributed “Detailed rules for implementation of the national food safety supervision and sampling inspection (2017)”
On February 21, the China Food and Drug Administration issued the “Detailed rules for the implementation of the national food safety supervision and sampling inspection (2017)”, and specified the uniform requirements for the application scope for supervision and sampling inspection, product classification, inspection basis, sampling and inspection requirements, determination principles and conclusions. Announcement of China Food and Drug Administration about issuing several administrative regulations on the veterinary drug residue in the food production or trade process of animal derived foodIn order to further strengthen the administration of veterinary drug residues in the production and operation process of animal derived food, forbid the illegal use of veterinary drugs and standardize production and processing behaviors of animal derived food, according to the relevant provisions of “Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China” and relevant laws and regulations, the China Food and Drug Administration issued the announcement to specify the requirements for the food producers and traders of animal derived food and food and drug administration department in various regions.
On February 15, 2017, the Chinese Condiment issued the exposure draft of national standard “Pickled vegetable” and solicited enterprise and expert opinions and suggestions, the deadline is March 20.
According to notice of national standard revise plan issued by Standardization Administration of PRC (No 88, 2014 of general office of Standardization Administration of PRC), China General Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the revise work of two recommended national standards “Food stuffing” and “Jam”, and has finished the exposure draft of the standard and starts to solicit public opinions, the deadline is March 31.
On February 15, 2017, the China Food and Drug Administration issued the notice of soliciting opinions on “Measures for investigation and treatment of food safety fraudulent conducts” (exposure draft) on the website, the deadline is March 14. This soliciting opinion information has been published on legality information website under government of PRC and four ways of proposing opinions and suggestions has been provided.
