Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF Bar Recalled for Plastic Pieces

Clif Bar & Company is recalling one production run of Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF  Nut Butter Filled energy bars because of small plastic pieces found in some of them. That represents a choking hazard. There have been no reports of injuries as a result of this issue. The recall is dated November 18, 2016, but was just announced by the FDA.

The recalled products are individual bars of Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF Nut Butter Filled energy bars with “best by” dates of 10JUN17N4 or 11JUN17N4; and 12-count caddies of Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF  Nut Butter Filled energy bars with “best by” dates of 10JUN17N4 or 11JUN17N4. The UPC numbers are: for the Bar: 7-22252-26800-6; for the
12-count Caddy: 7-22252-36800-3; and for the Case: 00722252-56800-7.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
