Yesterday, the Indonesian Agricultural Department announced a revision of the 'legislation for fresh food products from plants'. The revision has effectively lowered the threshold for export to Indonesia. The new policy is very favourable for export products from the Fujian province and there is hope that a return to the situation before restrictive measures were implemented is possible. Indonesia is the main destination for agricultural products from Fujian. These agricultural products mainly consist of fresh carrots, oranges, cabbage, edible mushrooms and others fruits, vegetables and plants. The effects of the systematic approving measures of Indonesia have been big. In 2016, the export of Fujian agricultural products to Indonesia amounted to 1.14 million USD.
