Potato product exports include snacks, which accounted for 94% of total exports, followed by potato starch (2.2%), fresh or chilled potatoes (1.7%), potato flour and semolina (0.9%), flakes, potato granules (dry potato), and frozen potato.

The main export destination for this product was Bolivia, which received 82.9% of shipments. It was followed by France, Chile, the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, the Netherlands, Aruba, and Switzerland. The country exported less than $1,000 dollars to the last three markets in the first quarter of the year.

The main exporting companies, which work with small producers in the interior of the country, are Snacks America Latina, Cooperativa Agraria Agropia, Inka Crops, Polaris, Belmont Foods Peru, Turmanye Foods, Peru Food Import, and Agrofergi, among others.

In order to celebrate the National Potato Day and to add value to the product, the Center for Productive Innovation and Technological Transfer for potatoes and Andean crops (Citepapa) held the III National Potato Forum, with the support of the Ministry of Production, the Technological Institute of Production (ITP) and other private institutions.
