 Two foods have recently been recalled by the FDA. One is ice cream recalled for broken metal in the processing equipment; the other is for undeclared soy in potato chips. No illnesses, injuries, or allergic reactions have been reported to date in either case.

The first recall is for two types of ice cream cups sold at H-E-B stores in Texas. The products were not distributed in the Houston area. The recalled products are Creamy Creations Orange Lime Sherbet Cup in 12 count/ 3 ounce packages. The UPC number on the product is 4122081930 and the code date is 12/09/2018. Also recalled is Creamy Creations Vanilla Chocolate Cups in 12 count/ 3 ounce packages. The UPC number on that product is 4122081931 and the code date is 12/10/2018.

The second recall is for Utz Carolina Style Barbecue Potato Chips. Packages were mislabeled and did not include soy, one of the major food allergens, on the labels. The products were sold in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, and West Virginia.

The recalled products include Utz Carolina Style Barbecue Potato Chips in 2.875 ounce packages, with UPC number 0-41780-00153-5 and expiration dates ranging from October 8 to October 20. Also recalled is Utz Carolina Style Barbecue Potato Chips in 7.5 ounce packages, with UPC number 0-41780-00049-1 and expiration dates ranging from August 18 to October 27.

If you bought either of these products, do not eat them. Discard them in a trash can, or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
