"The demand for our ready-to-eat salad mixes continues to grow; also this year. The lack of raw materials caused by the high temperatures has of course had consequences for our industry, but at this stage, it remains difficult to foresee all its consequences," says Jarosław Korman, Key Account Retail at Eisberg in a conversation with www.sadyogrody.pl.

"Based on the experience of the spring 2017 crisis, we know, however, that with the lower availability of different kinds of lettuce, the demand for our ready-to-eat blends should grow," says Jarosław Korman.

He points out that the majority of Eisberg's products reach the Polish market.

"We export part to Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but due to the products' short shelf life, we focus on expanding the portfolio of our trading partners in these countries and developing cooperation with existing ones. We don't export to the United Kingdom for this same reason," says Jarosław Korman.

The Eisberg Group was founded on the initiative of two Swiss growers in 1972 and has its main headquarters in Zurich. It has been operating in Poland since 1992 and currently employs about 150 people. Its range includes salad blends, unwashed lettuce, layered salads and dressings.
