The production of high-quality golden bananas by Yunlin County, Taiwan Province, China, has been recognized internationally. After the first export to the Middle East last year, they also attracted Japanese traders. Today, the first batch of the fruit has been sealed and exported. It is estimated that by June next year, 600 tons will have been exported to Japan.

Yunlin County Wutong Fruit and Vegetable Production Cooperative produces high-quality golden bananas, and the quality has been internationally recognized. Japanese traders have received favorable comments since last year's purchase. This year's procurement continues. Today, the first batch is being exported, and the chairman of the cooperative, Su Mingli (second right) said that it is expected that 600 tons of bananas will have been exported to Japan by June next year.

Cooperative manager Su Shi said that Taiwanese bananas are a fine fruit in Japan. He visited the local area and found that the Japanese people cut the bananas into pieces and eat them slowly. Last year, the golden bananas were listed in Tokyo supermarkets at one kilogram for about NT$180. Because of their popularity, traders are demanding an increase in export volumes this year. But in order to control quality, they are currently only exporting 600 tons.
