From October 10 to 12, quarantine inspectors of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan have foiled 29 attempts to illegally send 165.5 tons of products of a high phytosanitary risk from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to the nation of Kazakhstan, a Ministry spokesperson has said.

141 tons of Russian wheat, 2 tons of apples and 20 tons of grapes from Kyrgyzstan were not allowed to get into Kazakh territory with the main reason cited being the lack of phytosanitary certificates.

The traders in violation of the regulations were brought to administrative responsibility and the quarantined products were returned to sender.
