Aldi Nord supplier “MERKUR Aussenhandel” is recalling “King’s Crown Asparagus Sections” in the 314 ml jars. The best before date is 30.06.2021 and the products have batch number L0161320180528 3700/01090 printed on the edge of the lid.

The company’s reason for the recall was that “a piece of glass was found among the asparagus. It cannot be ruled out that there are more fragments in other jars.

At the beginning of the year, the Aldi Nord supplier already had to carry out a similar recall because of glass splinters in jars of asparagus.

The potentially dangerous product was sold in the Aldi companies Beucha, Beverstedt, Greiz, Jarmen, Bad Laasphe, Hann. Münden and Lingen.

According to infosurhoy.com¸ consumers can return their jars to the stores and will be reimbursed. Consumption of the product is not recommended.
