The Sub-directorate of Agricultural Statistics of the Regional Agricultural Directorate of Ica (DRA Ica) stated that the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Peru and Australia, which entered into force on February 11, would benefit the department's producers of avocado, asparagus, table grapes, blueberry, and mandarins. They also stressed that this agreement would strengthen the commercial relationship with the oceanic country.

"This FTA opens new opportunities to do business and expand the scope of our regional agricultural exports," stated the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics.

The trade agreement with Australia will bring new opportunities for Ica producers, who can export to one of the largest countries in the world, they added.
