The current market price of 30 yuan [4.32 USD] per 0.5 kg means that a single Red Beauty orange sells for around 20 yuan [2.88 USD]. The production value per 0.07 hectare can reach 100 thousand yuan [14,392 USD].
The overall production volume of Xiangshan Red Beauty oranges is estimated at 5 million kg this year, which is an increase of 150% in comparison with last year. The "Red Beauty" oranges were available on such popular e-commerce platforms as Taobao and JD from November onward, and at the same time in high-end offline markets as well.
