Ingredion Incorporated, a leading global provider of ingredient solutions, has opened a new sales office in Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen its brand presence and accessibility in Vietnam.

Recognising that the Vietnamese market will contribute significantly to further growth in the region, the company is placing an increased focus on the country.

Plans involve establishing more comprehensive on-site sales and partnership resources as well as enhancing logistics and operational support facilities.

Additionally, Ingredion will strengthen its Ingredion Idea Labs on-site capabilities to accelerate innovations in food and nutrition and maximise collaboration opportunities with customers.

Ingredion’s location in Ho Chi Minh City positions the company to meet the dynamic needs of the Vietnamese market by better delivering value-added services, technical advice and sales support to food and beverage (F&B) manufacturers.

Customers will also enjoy a strong synergy with recent regional expansion plans that further augment Ingredion’s resources in the Asia-Pacific region.

“There is much potential in Vietnam,” said Rishan Pillay, vice-president and general manager, ASEANI, Ingredion, citing that the growth speed of the Asian nation’s F&B industry could see an annual double-digit growth of 10.9 percent until 2019, with consumption demand largely focussed on food and necessities.

“We are keen to contribute towards Vietnam’s new chapter and look forward to building strong partnerships with F&B manufacturers to create on-trend, consumer-winning products,” he concluded.
