The first fully intelligent and automated international railway port in China will be built in Chengdu city, Sichuan province.
The new infrastructure will be able to move 1.5 million containers per year, according to the News Service of the Asian giant.
In addition, it's mechanical devices will be fully automated, assisted by advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things, communication, and intelligent navigation, which will allow it to become the fastest port for moving goods from China.
According to the authorities, the port is expected to release 85% of its operators and increase the efficiency of unloading, reception, dispatch, horizontal transport, and container storage operations by 30%.
