Cruzcampo has developed an IPA (Indian Pale Ale) made from Malaga mangoes for the first anniversary of La Fabrica, an innovative brewery, which opened its doors a year ago to offer beer lovers unique varieties made by the Brewers Masters of Cruzcampo.
To celebrate this first anniversary, Jorge Varela and Juan Navarro wanted to pay tribute to the people of Malaga with the development of Cruzcampo Juicy IPA with Mango.
It is a limited edition and its main ingredient is the mango from the region of Axarquía in Malaga, a tropical fruit that, when integrated into the recipe, results in a golden-colored beer full of aromatic nuances that has a soft and sweet flavor that is slightly bitter.
Jorge Varela has detailed that since they started brewing beers at La Fábrica Cruzcampo in Malaga, "our only two norms have been creativity and quality." During this first year, he said, they have "worked on proposals that might seem risky, but that have given us surprising results, such as this beer with Malaga mangoes which are a little bittersweet and refreshing, making this typical product of this land a protagonist in our micro - brewery."
Axarquía has cultivated mangoes that are known for their high quality and flavor in Europe for four decades. "We are able to do it thanks to the mild climate of this region, which is ideal for this fruit, and the water resources we have," stated Saul Cereto, a second generation of tropical fruit farmers in the Axarquía region, which has been the local supplier of the fruit used to make Cruzcampo Juicy IPA with Mango.
The second variety elaborated for this beginning of the year at La Fábrica Cruzcampo in Malaga is Cruzcampo Session IPA with pineapples, a beer made with four different types of malts, oats, and pineapple that has a pale color and aromatic nuances thanks to the use of pineapple and simcoe hops.
