On December 28, 2018, the Russian Consumer Rights Protection and Social Welfare Supervision Agency announced that the decision on mandatory labelling of genetically modified products had entered into force in five countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia).
