The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Sri Lanka) and the United National Industrial Development Organization (United National Industrial Development Organization) jointly issued a simplified export guide for exporters in the agri-food sector, focusing on providing key information needed to enter the European market and answering exporters FAQs.
Exporting to the European Union – A Practical Guide for Sri Lankan Suppliers of Agricultural Products was presented on March 01, 2021.
The guide provides key information such as rules and regulations, logistics methods, required fruits or vegetables, packaging and labeling, prohibited products, certifications, intellectual property rights, and European consumers.
As reported¸ it also provides special emphasis on steps required to export to German and Dutch markets.
