New lid placer for four-fruit tray

Trays with four fruits are increasingly popular - this kind of packaging is often used for persimmons and it has recently been introduced for premium peaches and nectarines as well.

"The only limit reported by companies for this kind of packaging is that the lid must be placed by hand. That is why we have worked to find a reliable innovative solution," explains Nicola Antonacci from Zetapack.

It is a niche segment, but Zetapack specializes in innovation. "We aim at making processing faster, and we have managed it. The lid placer works well and Agrintesa tested it over the past few months with excellent results."

The machine can be installed on any grader that packages 4 fruits, not only on Zetapack's delicate-fruit grader. "As usual, we focused on an easy design. It is a reliable machine that has created no problem whatsoever so far."
