The supply volume of fruit in south Chinese markets in week 8 is considerably smaller as a result of overcast and rainy weather. Apples are no exception. At the same time, the consumption of expensive fruit is in decline after the Chinese Spring Festival [February 5th, 20]. The market share of Shandong apples is growing, while the price of apples from Shaanxi and Gansu remains high, and their market share is in decline. Even though the overall trade volume of apples shows a slight decrease, the price remains high and stable.
