According to data released by the European Commission, between July 1, 2018 and March 3, 2019, the EU issued 21,551,133 tons of cereal import licences for the year 2018/19, an increase of 36% over the same period of last year's 15,880,455 tons, and a 36% increase over the same period last week.
Among of them, wheat import licensing issuance was 3,352,333 tons, an increase of 21% over the same period last year; wheat flour was 26,265 tons, an increase of 4% over the same period last year; durum wheat 752,213 tons, a decrease of 28% over the same period last year; barley 118,254 tons, a decrease of 70% over the same period last year; corn 16,589,913 tons, an increase of 45% over the same period last year; rye 244,509 tons, an increase of 41.2% over the same period last year; sorghum 457,009 tons, an increase of 29% over the same period last year.
