Core Tip: The Leisure Coast Fruit and Deli in Fairy Meadow has announced it would trial buckets, instead of bags, to indicate which price category applies produce.
The Leisure Coast Fruit and Deli in Fairy Meadow has announced it would trial buckets, instead of bags, to indicate which price category applies produce. But the buckets are available for only some of the giant store's fresh produce selection, including bananas and lemons. Others, including apples, oranges and potatoes, are still using bags.

"We will be trialling these new reusable buckets over the next few weeks in replacement of plastic bags in an effort to reduce our environmental footprint," management said on the store's Facebook page.

Customers are invited to give feedback on the issue, the store's statement said. "We appreciate the feedback we have had so far and welcome any new ideas to make your shopping experience easier that will have a minimal environmental impact," it said.
