Under pressure from the US, Vietnam's Ministry of Finance is proposing tariff cuts for some American agriculture products, such as apples. The Vietnamese government is reviewing the duties on some American products at the request of the US, according to a post on the ministry's website.
The Finance Ministry proposes reducing the tariff on fresh apples and grapes to 8% in 2020 from 10%. According to an article on investors.com, the US embassy also wants to see tariffs on apples, grapes and wheat abolished next year.
