Those were the unfortunate words that went viral on social media last week. They were spoken by the Minister of Agriculture of the Generalitat Valenciana, Mireia Mollà, during her visit to Fruit Logistica in Berlin with the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig.
Representatives of the Consell visited the stand of an automatic juicer company, where the manager of the company served them a few glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice.
The representative of the company admitted that he did not know where the oranges came from, to which the councilwoman replied: "Just say that the oranges are from Valencia if no one is going to check that."
These declarations have set the networks on fire, taking into account the conflict that the Valencian orange sector is experiencing due to the problem posed by Egyptian and South African imports.
