Groupe Le Duff (Le Duff), and its subsidiary Bridor, has acquired Lecoq Cuisine Corporation (Lecoq Cuisine), a key player in North American production of specialty Viennese and French-style pastries. This latest investment in the US aims to support the global growth of Bridor, and strengthen its current production capacities in the US and Canada.

Le Duff previously invested more than €200 million (US$204 million) in North American production sites.

Bridor is present in more than 100 countries across five continents.

Established in 1991 in New York, US, by the acclaimed pastry chef Eric Lecoq, Lecoq Cuisine manufactures and markets more than 150 varieties of premium products, particularly viennoiseries (its famed Croissants – sweet and savory; Danishes; Cinnamon rolls; Puff Pastries; and Brioches).

Expanding French cuisine beyond Europe
Present mainly in the US, Lecoq Cuisine also exports to Canada and the Caribbean. The products are manufactured at the company’s production site in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The company employs 250 collaborators, and its revenue stands at US$60 million this year.

Lecoq Cuisine uses only traditional French recipes and emphasizes proprietary manufacturing methods to offer the best products to its customers.

These values are shared by Bridor, who continues to innovate healthy and natural products and collaborates with chefs and artisans such as those with the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France award distinction.

Louis Le Duff, founder and chairman of Le Duff Group and Bridor, states: “Having followed Eric Lecoq’s exemplary career with a great interest for several years, I am especially proud of this acquisition. The group’s international history is closely linked to the US, my second home.”

“Our intense focus on excellence and innovation is matched only by Le Duff’s reputation and track record for producing high-quality products and exceptional customer service throughout its almost 50-year history,” adds Eric Lecoq, founder and CEO of Lecoq Cuisine.

“Together, we will be a powerhouse in every market we operate.”
