Oli-Ola is an olive extract with 3% of hydroxytyrosol, a major phenolic compound naturally occurring in olive fruit. According to the company, the potent antioxidant properties of hydroxytyrosol have been demonstrated in various food products: beverage, meat, margarine and mayonnaise.
Oli-Ola is water soluble and suitable for functional food and dietary supplements. It is an all-natural ingredient from organic olives, is solvent free and without any pesticide residues, the company noted.
The company plans to launch the new products at IFT 2012, which is being held at Las Vegas, Nevada, US, from 25 to 28 June 2012.
