Core Tip: JBS Australia said it would continue talks with union representatives after workers at a plant in central Queensland went on strike June 22, according to local news reports.
Workers at the JBS Australia plant walked off the job and voted to continue weekly work stoppages, according to news reports. The workers want a 4 percent annual pay increase, however JBS is standing firm on its offer of a 3 percent increase.

A JBS spokesman said the company is also in negotiations with the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union at a number of JBS sites.
