India's Kingfisher Premium Lager and Saratoga IPA served as the official beers of the 18th season of World Team Tennis matches held in New York State's capital city Albany this week.

Some of the major tennis celebrities and professionals who made special appearances and participated in the tournament included Leander Paes, Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, John McEnroe, and Chris Evert, according to a company release.

"Being a part of this superlative tennis event is a feather in our cap," said Yashpal Singh, President and CEO of Kingfisher Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs, New York. "Sports and tennis, in particular, are of vital importance to us as a global entity."

"It is of greater pride to us that this event took place a few miles away from our state-of-the-art brewery in Saratoga Springs, where we brew fresh Kingfisher Premium Lager - a beer that is enjoyed in more than 55 countries around the world," he said.

American United Beer Spirits, the exclusive US importer and distributor of India's largest beverage alcohol company, The United Breweries (UB) Group, also served three of its spirit brands, Royal Challenge Whisky, Romanov Vodka, and Antiquity Whisky, at the event, the release said.

These brands are currently available at select liquor stores in New York, New Jersey, and Chicago.

The UB Group is the second largest spirits company in the world, and it currently maintains 140 different liquor brands with exports to more than 50 countries.

In 2011, the company sold 113 million cases, and the total worth of its spirits division brands is more than $5 billion.
