Core Tip: EnWave has signed an agreement with Milne Fruit Products to employ its Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV) technology to develop dried cherries, strawberries and carrot products, for use in snack, baking and powder applications.
Under the earlier agreement, EnWave employed its technology to develop dried blueberries, blackberries and raspberries products for snack, baking and powder applications. Milne marketed the products under MicroDried product line.

Milne sales and marketing vice president of Jack Schroeder said there is tremendous commercial potential for MicroDried cherries, strawberries and carrot.

"Milne is dedicated to the market development of our entire MicroDried™ product line and will continue to investigate additional product opportunities going forward," Schroeder added.

Milne's current MicroDried products, dried using EnWave's REV technology, are all-natural whole fruit pieces and powders with no added sugars, flavors, colors or preservatives.

EnWave claimed that MicroDried powders add real fruit color, a powerful burst of flavor and improved nutrition to products such as smoothies, purees and juices, among others.
