Many of you will have already noted that we have made some changes to the structure over the past few months. These were to support the new design and reflect some of the work our counterparts in central Government departments have done: drawing together our policy and advice, for example. We’re also making more extensive use of the National Archives as a reference for our past projects so it's easier to find out what is current.
The design has been extensively tested with users who appreciated how it helped them find the content they wanted more easily and was more in line with what they expected to see. It also enabled them to find our social media more easily, something that has developed hugely in the online world since we last changed the design in 2006.
Any content moves we’ve done will redirect bookmarked urls, but if you hit a temporary break of page do use the site search, or look at the navigation.
