Quality Pork Processors, Inc., a Hormel supplier, is facing three alleged violations concerning lockout/tagout procedures at the facility, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

The company was notified in late July of three serious violations that involve safely cleaning plant machinery. Employees are required to lockout machines and then tag machines so that cleaning and/or maintenance crews know the machines are safe to work on.

The company is facing more than $11,000 in penalties as of Aug. 23, according to OSHA. The company has until Aug. 24 to correct the violations.
