US-based cereal company MOM Brands has added two new varieties, Multigrain Berry and Multigrain Cinnamon shredded wheat cereals, to its Three Sisters cereal line.

The new Multigrain Berry and Multigrain Cinnamon offer 43g of whole grains per serving with no saturated fat, trans fat or cholesterol. Both flavors also carry the 100% Whole Grains stamp from the Whole Grains Council, the company said.

In addition, these cereals are made with whole grain oats, whole grain barley and whole grain triticale (a cross between wheat and rye with higher levels of essential amino acids), making them nutritionally balanced.

MOM Brands director of corporate communications Linda Fisher said that Three Sisters cereals are packaged in bags instead of boxes, which leads to 75% less consumer packaging compared to comparably sized boxed cereals with an interior liner bag.

The Three Sisters cereal line offers breakfast cereals that are free of artificial flavors and preservatives. The full line includes eight additional varieties: Cinnamon Sweets, Graham Crackerz, Honey Oaties, Honey Puffs, Sweet Wheat, Marshmallow Oaties, Cocoa-Snapz, and Naked Wheat. Three Sisters is available at Whole Foods Market stores across the US.
