UNITEC, a leading company that operates on an international scale specializing in the manufacture of dedicated systems and machinery for fruit and vegetables will be present also this year at the EUROFRUIT Fruit Expo, exhibition to be held in Lleida (Spain) on 27-30 September, with some of the latest technologies developed for the processing of fruits and vegetables.
Unitec
At the fair, UNITEC will present the company’s latest technologies that facilitate industry operators to improve processing in terms of higher capacity, delicacy, and enhanced quality as well as savings in labour. In other words, EFFICIENCY.

UNITEC will expose the UNICAL_200© electronic sorter, dedicated to the processing of delicate and small fruits, mainly cherries and cherry tomatoes. This innovative technique, characterized by a high capacity (about 108,000 fruit/hour/lane) and extremely delicacy, has been a huge commercial success in the market. Today there are over 530 lanes installed in more than 20 countries around the world.

At UNITEC stand it will be exposed also the CHERRY VISION©: the special sorting system for the non-destructive detection of the internal and external quality of cherries fully realized and developed by UNITEC. This high-capacity technology is versatile and can be adapted to any packing house depending on customers’ necessities.

With this new technology the burdensome task of detecting fruit defects is significantly reduced and processing costs drop markedly. Companies working with cherries can improve the benefits using CHERRY_VISION©, improve the process of quality selection and increase the company’s market profitability, resulting in a high quality standard in processing and selection never imagined before.

This is a very successful technology. Today the CHERRY_VISION© system is installed in over 236 UNICAL_200© lanes.

The CHERRY VISION© system has been nominated to the “Premio a la Innovación Tecnológica de Máquinas Agrícolas 2012”.

Unitec will be present at Eurofruit Fruit Expo 2012, Hall 4, Booth 470/470b.
