The heifers will be owned by the East java province and the deal will enable Indonesia to achieve sufficiency in milk production.

Daviesway Dairy Equipment plans to set up dairy farms in East Java to house the heifers. It plans to either set up a central dairy shed or a barn capable of housing 120 cows with a central milking machine.

Daviesway Dairy Equipment technical and international sales manager Phillip Schultz plans to visit Indonesia in October in order to discuss the building dairy farms. He will also participate in an educational day aimed at teaching Indonesian farmers and officials, including vets, about recognizing and treating mastitis.
