UK-based logistics company Bibby Distribution has announced plans to close its milk distribution depot and shift to a new site in the county.
The existing milk distribution site is located in Whitland and employs 50 people. The new site will be located at Cross Hands, however, it is unclear how many jobs would be offered at the new center.
Bibby Distribution spokesperson said that this move comes following a detailed evaluation of the company's operations in this area, and is expected to offer a greater opportunity to develop the business.
"We are now liaising with all staff based at the Whitland site on a one-to-one basis," the spokesperson added.
The relocation is expected to occur in early December 2012.
