Anmol Bakers, one of the leading biscuit manufacturers, launched Tejus Digestive Biscuit, which contains more atta and ajwain and is enriched with bran fibre, in New Delhi recently.
It will be available in two pack sizes – a 100g pack priced at Rs 15 and a 250g variant priced at Rs 35.
Gobind Ram Choudhary, the company's managing director, said, “Tejus Digestive Biscuits will initially be available in selected counters, but slowly it will become available in more retail outlets.”
Anmol Bakers plans to launch a range of biscuits such as heart-friendly biscuits, diabetic-friendly biscuits and multi-grain biscuits, so customers get both health and taste in a biscuit.
Also in the pipeline are three or four new products which are slated to be launched within the current financial year.
Anmol Bakers currently has a turnover of about Rs 700 crore, and its growth rate, about 20 per cent, is higher than the industry growth, which is about 15 per cent. It has a pan-India presence.
The company has plants in Kolkata and Patna in the eastern region and Greater Noida and Ghaziabad in the northern region. Its present monthly capacity is 16,000 million tonnes (MT).
