Superior Farms has secured an agreement with Oversea Casing to sell natural sausage casings on behalf of Oversea.
Both firms are owned by Transhumance, and Superior Farms will sell raw materials to Oversea Casing, which in turn will produce ready-to-use and natural sausage casings.
According to the company, a sales force consisting of 30 people is actively selling casings as part of their offering and the customers get one-stop shopping.
Oversea Casing co-owner Michael Mayo commented that the company's sales force is offering a secure supply and the partnership is what makes this unique to the industry.
Superior Farm sales and marketing vice president Craig Powell said the relationship is part of the company's strategy to utilize all of the animal and maximize efficiencies for transportation and distribution.
Oversea and Superior Farm, now have distribution points in Northern and Southern California, Chicago, Denver, Boston, Florida, Seattle and Langley, BC.
