A chance to go to Goa might not come everyone’s way. But, with the new Goan Food Festival of Fortune Murali Park, people can taste the exclusive Goan cuisine right here in Vijayawada.
In contrast to the regional food festivals being organised in the festive season, the hotel has launched a 10-day Goan food festival considering the requests of many food lovers.
The food festival, being conducted at the Zodiac – the 24-hour Astral Coffee shop — will have special ambience to give the food enthusiasts a feel of escaping into the Goan atmosphere.
The place has been decorated with trademark Goan scenario with sand, fishnets, fish, lanterns, and background music of Goan hits and Konkan classics. The staff, dressed in typical Goan attire, are offering the customers a wide range of a la carte menu filled with starters, soups, main course dishes and desserts.
“Chef Selva from Fortune Cosmos, Bangalore, has been specially called in for the food festival. He is an expert in Goan cuisine. He, along with our resident chef Khan, have come up with this wide menu to suit local palate,” said general manager Venkatesh Rao.
