Bumble Bar has recalled Gluten Free Cafe's Chocolate Sesame Bars and Cinnamon Sesame Bars in the US over Salmonella contamination.

The recall was initiated by the company as the products were associated with Sunland's peanut products, which were subject to a nationwide recall.

The products subjected to recall include the products bearing the UPC codes 70795-03550 and 70795-03551 with different best by dates. No illnesses have been reported till date associated with the recall.

Consumers who have purchased these products should dispose or return them to the retailer for a full refund.

Consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause Salmonellosis, one of the most common bacterial foodborne illnesses. The most common manifestations of Salmonellosis are diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within eight to 72 hours. Additional symptoms may be chills, headache, nausea and vomiting that can last up to seven days.
