American supermarket chain Vons is recalling certain Foster Farms' chicken products, due to the potential presence of Salmonella Heidelberg.
The move comes after Foster Farms has initiated the recall of marinated or seasoned fresh chicken products having "use or freeze by" dates ranging from 17 March 2014 through 28 March 2014.
The products associated with the recall include Eating Right Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, Eating Right Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs, Safeway Farms Small Tray Drumsticks, Safeway Farms Small Tray Split Breasts, and Safeway Farms Small Tray Thighs.
The marinades and season flavors including Bulgogi, Charmoula, Greek Lemon, Drunken, Yellow Curry, Caribbean Jerk, Buffalo and Chipotle Brown Sugar were sold in all Vons and Pavilions stores across Southern California and Southern Nevada.
Vons is also recalling Safeway Farms Small Tray Wings, Safeway Farms Value Pack Drumsticks, Safeway Farms Value Pack Leg Quarters, Safeway Farms Value Pack Thighs, and Safeway Farms Value Pack Wings.
No illnesses have been reported to Vons, associated with the consumption of the recalled products.
However, Foster Farms has been notified of one illness associated with its products.
